Plus One

J.P. and his lovely wife, Kerry had a baby girl last Thursday. All of the band are very excited for them. Congratulations guys!

Now we’re all going to have kids and then force them to start a band together.

Bad Plates

Went to the WAMI opening party the other night and on the way saw a car with the personalised plates HI M8NCE (or something along those lines). Needed to watch Louis C.K. afterwards to make me feel better.

WAMI Festival Begins

The party starts tonight down at the Bakery and we’re all going to be down there checking out the likes of Rabbit Island, Georgi Kay and Usurper of Modern Medicine. We’re playing next Saturday, the 28th at the Mustang Bar at 12pm. There’s a great lineup:

12.00 – 12.30 – Rackets and Fives
12.50 – 1.25 – Michael Strong and The Ghost Anyway
1.45 – 2.15 – Cal Peck and The Tramps
2.40 – 3.15 – Walkabout Boys
3.35 – 4.10 – Davey Craddock and The Spectacles
4.30 – 5.05 – Ruby Boots
5.25 – 6.00 – The Ghost Hotel

Other things worth knowing:
– I watched that Bill Murray movie called Quick Change last night. It was full of silly shenanigans. I give it a 2 1/2.
– Planet has a good sale at the moment. I picked up a great bluegrass album with Bill Munroe, Lester Flatt and Don Reno on it. They always have such great song titles like “I’m Using My Bible For A Roadmap”
– Pulp is coming to Perth – pretty cool.

Album Ready

YES! We are picking up the final mix of our album on Monday. The artwork is almost done too so we will put it in diskbank’s hands really soon. It has been a big project and we can’t wait to get it out there.

Rust Bucket

The first track from our album has just started kicking around. RTRFM 92.1 is playing it and it’s on this website. We hope you like it!
